The CASE of a Happy Birthday

I fell in love with this card when I saw it on Pinterest.  You can see the original here.

The thing that excited me the most was the 2"x2" pieces with the words.  This paper was made by the card maker himself.  So, I did the same by typing "celebrate yourself" repeatedly on a piece of generic cardstock.  I did the same with the sentence "it's your day."  The possibilities of this technique are endless!  It would be awesome to use fun fonts and colors with the recipient's name, for example.

I used the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Sketched Birthday.  All images were stamped on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Stampin' Write markers.  The card base was Basic Black. The smaller picture shows how I finished off the inside.

Well, thanks for stopping by.  A comment left below would make my day!

Friendship

This card is using the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Flower Shop. I stamped the flower on printed paper and punched it out with the matching punch.  I used a polka dot embossing folder for the background.  The sentiment comes in the stamp set called Chalk Talk (Stampin' Up!), and I inked it by hand to eliminate the oval that surrounds it.  The smaller picture shows the inside of the card. I like to "finish" the inside of the card, too. This card would be a nice thank you card or simple friendship card.  The inspiration for this card came from here.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my work!

Great to be Back!

I am excited to be stamping and blogging again.  I used to have a blog called "Stampin' for the Soul."  This blog name is similar to make it easy to remember.
Today is my daughter's 17th birthday.  I made this card for her using Sketched Birthday (Stampin' Up!).  It is done in Basic Black, Whisper White, and Primrose Petals (Stampin' Up!). Primrose Petals is a retired color, but the rest of my card is using current products.  The inspiration came from the Mojo Monday sketch for today which you can find by clicking here.
I used a  marker to color only the cupcake on the stamp, and stamped it a number of times on the larger circle.  I also stamped it once on the inside on a Whisper White piece of cardstock matted on another piece of Primrose Petals.
Thank you for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!
